G1 Global Conference 2014
Breakout Session I <B >
TEPCO and the Future of Energy Policy
Three and a half years after the 3/11 disaster and subsequent Fukushima accidents, Japan is yet to show a clear direction on its nuclear power policy, while TEPCO is still struggling with its own restructuring. What would be the best “energy-mix” for Japan, and what should be the role of nuclear power in Japan’s future energy policy? How can Japan ensure secure and sustainable energy supply that is vital to its economic recovery? In this session, the Deputy Chair of TEPCO’s Nuclear Reform Monitoring Committee will be joined by experts on Japan’s energy security and energy trade.
